While there are loads of reports around today claiming a fear of puppy or kitten autism is preventing crucial vaccinations, the real reason for the drop in protection levels is far more significant...

The story, which originated in the UK’s “The Sun” tabloid, may have generated headlines but it ignores the recent research. In fact, just 3% of us skip vaccinations because of safety fears. The biggest factors by far are complacency and financial pressures. In fact, a whopping 27% of pet parents don’t vaccinate the furry family because they simply don’t believe they need to.

The new ‘lax approach has seen some previously rare diseases like canine parvovirus and feline panleukopaenia make a re-emergence with deadly consequences.

Growing up is hard enough for these little guys so please protect them...
