FAST FREEZE DRIED FACTS:
- Freeze Dried treats contain only 1-2% moisture. Meaning no preservatives are required.
- 70 grams of freeze dried chicken treats are the equivalent of around 400g fresh chicken.

Not at all. In fact, freeze-drying is one of the best ways to lock in nutrition. Here’s how it works:

1. Shaping the treats – Raw ingredients are first combined and formed into bite-sized pieces.
   
2. Flash-freezing – Those pieces are quickly frozen to around -40°C, locking in all the natural goodness.
   
3. Vacuum + sublimation – The frozen treats are placed under vacuum, where the water inside turns straight from ice to gas (a process called sublimation). This removes moisture without using heat.
   

Because there’s no cooking involved, all the proteins, functional ingredients, flavour and nutritional benefits remain intact, just without the water. The result? A raw treat with only 1–2% moisture, making it safe from bacterial growth, longer-lasting, and every bit as nutritious and delicious as the day it was made.

Yes! Simply put water on them and they will soften. But remember... the crunch is what dogs and cats find satisfying!

Freeze-dried treats only have a tiny bit of moisture, so once you open the pack, air can sneak in and soften them fast. That’s why we use foil packs (no windows!) to lock out moisture. Just double-check the seal after each use, and you’ll keep the crunch.

And if you find a few crumbs at the bottom? Sprinkle them over dinner as an instant meal topper!
