This adorable little face definitely deserved better. With parts of Australia again facing heat wave conditions, the Staffy X has been found with his mouth taped shut in Logan, Queensland today.

While we still don’t know his name, he is now safe thanks to the help of RSPCA staff who rescued him. Without the ability to sweat dogs rely on panting and plenty of cool fresh water to keep their body temperature out of the danger zone.

Shaded areas, cool floors and even extra frozen bowls of water that are topped up with fresh water all add extra protection in the heat.

If there is an upside, hopefully this tape is the ticket this dog needed to a better life with a new, loving family.
