"Whattha" might only be nine months of age but he’s already overcome enough obstacles for nine lifetimes. But his desire to live his best life might just make your day…

Named after the most common reaction to his incredibly unlucky start to life, Whattha was just four months of age when he was shot in the leg and the face in a heartbreaking act of cruelty. Then, while recovering from those injuries, he contracted tetanus - which is often fatal. But now, after somehow scraping through, he needs more help.

The scar tissue from his original gunshot injuries is beginning to block his throat making it hard to breathe. So now, he’s heading back into surgery with RSPCA Queensland attempting to raise funds for an operation to install a special stent that will keep his airways open.

But if that adorable face full of optimism is anything to go by, he’ll handle this hurdle with ease. Go get ‘em Whattha.
