Stuck in a eucalyptus forest as bushfires ripped through the area, these firefighters spotted this great horned owl hopping around in the hot ashes. Using a blanket that protected them from his talons, but not his death stares, they plucked him from the fire zone as flames circled and delivered him into the hands of wildlife carers.
He’s expected to be released back into the wild in the coming days...giving him time to work on his happy face. A lucky escape for an incredible animal...
